i told the waitress medium rare steak and got well done instead. also don’t like how the steak only came with red wine jus. i’ve never been to a restaurant with 0 options for a steak sauce. i won’t be coming back here.

What an amazing find is Akiras. Nine of us for dinner. Food was pretty spectacular, a large menu with an excellent choice, the seafood platter is outstanding, with a large selection of fresh seafood, which easily satisfied two to share. Entrees were plentiful, highly recommended the arancini, and prawns. Most of the group went for the lamb rack and quite honestly, it was perfection, cooked to preference ( I choose medium), melt-in-the-mouth and easy to carve, this venue certainly has a high quality meats and seafood supplier. Big mention for the accompanying mashed potatoes, glazed carrots and delicious gravy. Nothing is too much trouble for the gracious staff, from adding an extra person last minute, to making garlic prawns from an entrees to mains serving size. Deserts are plentiful (on a separate menu), the creme caramel, served with fresh fruit, cream and ice cream was the perfect blend of creamy and wobbly. Assorted cakes,pies and the amazing apple tortilla deserve a mention. All finished off with delicious lattes and teas. Biggest plus, trouble free split billing and BYO. As a large group our dining club marvelled at the ease of the experience. Great service, amazing food, split billing, BYO, and heaps of parking. Akiras operates as a Cafe during the day (with a delicious daytime menu, to be tested soon), and dinner in the evenings. Overall, the group highly recommends trying this absolute, South Perth Gem. A request for the venue to offer a 'chefs choice' or 'feed me' option to the menu, this would be perfect for groups 😋

It was all good until the lamb came in, they said it was supposed to be medium rare but it was no way near medium rare for us. Thankfully, they cooked it for us again. However, the food that came with the lamb was already very cold and soggy. The service was good however it took too long (taking the orders and serving the food) despite not many people in the cafe. I rate it 3/5 star because even tho it was not all perfect, the food and the effort to make & serve it, made it worth while.

Friendly prompt service. The lamb curry was excellent. Seafood platter was overall good, however half the chips got soggy from the mussels and cockles. Would have preferred if the chips were separated as the ones that weren’t soggy were perfect and delicious. The sauce for the salmon was tasty, as was the salad, oysters, prawns, squid rings - definitely very filling. The mussels and cockles had a peppery taste, would’ve preferred them in a tomato based sauce instead. Would come again to try other dishes out.

Had a delicious breakfast at AKIRAS today & they made sure the eggs were done just as I liked them ☺️ The staff are always so tentative & the vibe is very chilled. I love getting a matcha but the coffee is up there too!
