Amazing fresh Middle Eastern food! The pitas are absolutely to die for — so soft and delicious. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend Bala Bite!

First off, I ordered and the cashier told me I couldn’t have rice with my Jaffa chicken because it wasn’t ready yet. Then proceeded to serve the rice to the tour group behind me and had their food ready before mine. Secondly, my food was deprioritized to the tour group when I was also there for a tour group stop. Third, when I finally got my order, I went to eat the chicken and it was so fatty it was inedible and it was RAW!!! Fourth, I went back to show her the chicken and she took my bowl that was mostly full, asked if I wanted anything else. I then said I wanted a “side” of roasted vegetables and some hummus to go with the pita I paid extra for. Not even a redo of the full meal. The cashier was about to have the audacity to charge me for the hummus when my $21.50 bowl was taken because of the raw chicken. Then, I said give me my bowl back then and I’ll scoop out the hummus…so whack! She then realized how crazy she sounded and gave me the smallest side of hummus I’ve ever seen, less than the amount I received in the bowl to begin with. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. My stomach is currently hurting and hope I don’t get violently ill from the raw chicken.

Food is usually great, but they were serving raw beef mince in the meatballs and keeping it out on display. That’s unsafe and dangerous. When I complained, I was only offered a refund instead of another meal. Please make sure meatballs are properly cooked, not just thrown in sauce to warm

Loved the creamy hummus and soft pita — so satisfying! The vibe is casual and welcoming, and the staff were really friendly. Best part? Coles is right next door! So if you’re tired or hungry after shopping, just step out and treat yourself to something delicious at Balabite. Highly recommend for a quick, tasty, and healthy meal!
