Chris and Kathy’s Continental Cafe & Bakehouse is an absolute gem. Chris and Kathy are genuinely lovely people — warm, friendly, and happy to give you their time. They actually listen, care, and make you feel welcome, which is rare these days. Even when the kitchen has technically just closed for breakfast, they’ve still been more than happy to cook me a proper meal later in the day. That kind of kindness and flexibility says a lot about the people who run this place. The food is top-notch — honestly as good as it gets — and the service is the best you could ask for. Beautiful people, beautiful food, and a really nice environment. Highly recommend. This is now the only place I’ll go for breakfast or lunch in South Brisbane.

Chris & Kathy are wonderful business owners in between the West End/South Brisbane areas. I planned a small group get-together close to Christmas and they were able to help us with meals and drinks at brunch. Nothing was too hard. Very easy to book and work with. The food and drinks were wonderful…we will be back to try some other dishes like the meatball sub and Pasticcio! I love to support family businesses and these guys deserve all our support. Great value for money for some people of the best tasting food in the area. Service was incredible and made us feel welcome. Good old fashioned friendly team. Definitely coming back. (We also had various breakfast dishes, but they were demolished too quickly to get a nice photo).
