Awesome lunch at Homer. I booked it for my birthday and was looking forward to trying the restaurant. I even asked my Greek boss for tips on what to order and knew what I wanted before we got there. It did not disappoint! We had the sausage and halloumi bread, tiny shrimp, rooster cigars, smokey pork, fish in rice and greens, and lemon potatoes. Everything was delicious. The bread was smaller than I expected but was enough for 2 of us. Shrimp were perfectly fried to crispy perfection. The cigars were full of flavor. The pork was juicy and well charred. Both the fish and potatoes were tangy and lemony. We ended up taking food home cuz we could finish them. The service was fast and friendly. Would highly recommend and go back again.
Homer Rogue Taverna in Cronulla is an absolute vibe. Modern Greek done rightโbold flavours, top-quality ingredients and dishes made for sharing. Everything we tried was packed with flavour, and the cocktails were just as impressive as the food. Lively atmosphere without feeling chaotic, and the service was friendly and on point. Perfect spot for a long lunch or a fun night out. Will definitely be back.
Very good Greek food. It can be quite loud with music inside and the portions are small but the taste is incredible especially the octopus and the bread. The tomato salad is incredible too. We preferred the Mezze over the mains. The service was excellent. Great addition to the Cronulla scene
Absolutely blown away with the food and service here at Homer. Staff made you feel very welcoming. Almost felt like you came into yiayia and papous home to cook you something for dinner. The menu was great. I loved the sharing style vibe to it. To start off with we had the potato crisps paired with the tarama. Which was a really nice combo. For something light to start off with. Then we had the cigar filo pastry thing. That was divine with the aioli and the bottom. We then also had the spanakopita pita thing. That was different. Iโm a sucker for spanakopita. It was a different take which I liked. As for main, we shared the pork. And lemme tell you one thing. Initially when I was recommended the pork i was like nahh its gonna be all dry. When i tell you it was the most succulent piece of pork ever. I dont know what else to tell you. Besides listen to the staff. I wish i got his name. He was so helpful. We also had this salad which was refreshing to break up from the richness of the work. Went beautifully together. I will absolutely be coming back. (Ps. BRING ON LOUKOUMADES)
Wonderful. Food is absolutely divine + some of the friendliest and best service Iโve had recently. The fresh breads are hot and chewy in just the right way, mini gyros need to be eaten to be believed, the freshness of the salad and tzatziki shone, grilled lamb chops perfectly seasoned and absolutely to die for, and the richness of the Mousakka was delightful. Delicious cocktails, fantastic wine list. Cannot recommend highly enough.
