Stepping inside felt like entering a warm Greek salon suspended in time. The candlelit room, vintage décor, leather lounges, and the iconic circular window created a setting that felt instantly soothing and quietly elegant. We celebrated a reunion here, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The Santorini Assyrtiko was a standout — bright, textured, and beautiful with the array of mezze. The dips were flawless, the beetroot and greens deeply comforting, and the cheese croquettes absolutely addictive. The lamb was rich and tender, and the kritharaki brought that unmistakable homestyle depth only Greek kitchens get right. Desserts were indulgent without being heavy. A heartfelt thank you to Maggie, Ruby, Alex and Chef Nick, whose warmth and attention lifted the entire experience. They made the night feel personal, unhurried and genuinely cared for. A phenomenal Greek dining experience worth returning to again and again.

Great feel to the place and the staff are lovely …..BUT …..and there is a big but hence the 2stars overall….. I was really looking forward to eating there …. But the food (lamb and potatoes) that I had was terrible! The potatoes (and the lamb) definitely did not taste like they were cooked on the same day they were served…. You know that awful stale reheated potato taste … yuk! Plus they were not even completely reheated … ie half cold half warm at best. And the lamb was stringy and dry. Food FAIL. 😢

Food was delicious, tasted very authentic! Food came out very fast. Our server Stella was beautiful, just so lovely and attentive and her customer service was amazing. One of our meals was forgotten but came out soon after and we received a free chocolate ice cream as a thank you which was lovely. Very cute restaurant, would 100% recommend.

The ambiance of the restaurant was truly inviting and created a warm atmosphere. The service provided by the staff was exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome. We were highly impressed with the quality of the food and its authentic flavors. The meatballs were cooked to perfection, offering a delightful taste that lingered. The sausages were equally outstanding, showcasing a wonderful blend of spices and textures. Every dish we sampled was prepared with care and attention to detail. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that left us wanting more. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving delicious Greek cuisine.

My husband and I went to Kafeneion for dinner on a Friday (we made a reservation) and absolutely loved it! The place is tucked away on the 2nd floor, so it’s a bit hidden, but once you’re inside, it’s such a lovely spot. The large circular window adds so much charm to the space. The food was super tasty; the whipped cod roe was hands-down our favorite! We ended up pairing it with almost everything we ordered (please don’t judge us, it was that good 😂). Everything else we had was delicious too. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but honestly, worth it. The staff were also amazing; really friendly and helpful with food and drink suggestions. Definitely one of those places you’d want to come back to for a relaxed, quality dinner. Highly recommend!
