The food and service were exceptional. The restaurant is located just off the beach, with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We ordered the moussaka and chicken souvlaki skewers for lunch, both of which were absolutely delicious. For dessert we shared the loukoumades, which were the best I have ever hadโฆ definitely a must try.. The service was warm, friendly and attentive and the overall experience transported me back to Greek islands. highly recommend!
The perfect way to end a lovely weekend. A family style lamb Greek dinner with lemon potatoes and Greek salad (all Gluten free). We added Saganaki cheese as itโs a must have when have Greek. The staff were wonderful, so helpful and knowledgeable. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend Xenia.
Xenia Coolangatta makes for a vibrant spot to enjoy a leisurely Greek lunch by the ocean. With its bright ambience and panoramic seaside views, the setting alone feels like an escape. The food was largely impressive. The prawns were a standout โ fresh, succulent, and cooked to perfection, the sort of dish that instantly evokes the coast. The lamb cutlets were equally well-prepared, tender and packed with flavour. The only real disappointment was the haloumi, which arrived undercooked and missed that golden, salty crispness one expects. Service was a highlight. With just one waitress covering multiple tables, she not only managed the room efficiently but did so with genuine warmth and smiles, leaving a positive impression. Prices run slightly higher than average, but considering the quality of the food, the attentive service, and the unbeatable ocean views, lunch at Xenia feels like money well spent. Verdict: A sunlit Greek lunch spot with fresh seafood, excellent service, and a view worth lingering over โ just a little more attention to detail in the kitchen could elevate it further.
Loved this traditional Greek restaurant. We opted for a set menus and loved every dish. Servings were generous. The service was super friendly and attentive. Be sure to book in advance as this is a very popular restaurant, particularly over the school holiday season.
We loved the slow cooked lamb shoulder tender, flavorful, and a great sized portion. The meatballs were solid, but the calamari was a bit thin and flaky. Skordalia was tasty though! Overall, a great spot for a hearty Greek style meal.
